NWS Reno is flagging a greater potential for gusty winds and fire-weather concerns by the start of next weekend, with Saturday currently looking like the day to watch. Alder Creek / Highway 89 Forest Closure
A 2,934-acre forest closure remains in effect for fuels reduction work near Alpine Meadows, Big Chief, Cabin Creek, and Alder 89. Check status before heading out.
