Weather Returns + Easter Weekend Events
Week of March 30 - April 5, 2026 | Published March 30, 2026
Happy Monday everyone. We have a winter tease coming our way this week, but too little too late as resorts are closing across the basin. Time to dust off the bikes!
THIS WEEK AT A GLANCE
1. Resorts are shutting down early as snowpack collapses across Tahoe
Alpine is already closed, Northstar now ends April 5, and Palisades is targeting a late April shutdown as snowpack drops to ~27% of normal
2. Winter makes a brief comeback midweek before warming again
A pattern shift brings rain and snow Tuesday through Thursday, with snow levels dropping to ~6,500 ft before a warm, sunny weekend returns
3. A packed Easter weekend with events across the basin
Spring Tracks (Flosstradamus), the Golden Egg Hunt at Palisades, and the inaugural Tahoe Nordic Expo headline one of the biggest weekends of the spring
Truckee/North Tahoe This Week is powered by Peak Digital Studio, Truckee-Tahoe’s website and design experts.
